Accessibility
This site is built so you can use it with a keyboard, a screen reader or a heavily magnified screen. Here is what was done for that, and what still needs work.
What was done
- The site works completely without JavaScript. Booking, cancelling and the menu all work with scripts blocked.
- Everything can be operated by keyboard and the focus is visible. Every page starts with a link that skips past the menu.
- Text and background keep a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1, and buttons and form fields are at least 24 by 24 pixels.
- Headings run in order, every form field has a label, and error messages appear in plain language above the form.
- Photographs have a description, or are marked as decoration so a screen reader passes over them.
- The page scales to 200 percent zoom without losing text or forcing you to scroll sideways.
What is not finished
This statement is not a formal WCAG audit. The site was tested with automated checks and by keyboard, not with a panel of users with disabilities. The booking calendar is a table holding a lot of information, and on a narrow screen at high magnification it stays busy.
If something does not work for you
Send me a message through the contact page saying which page went wrong and what you use: browser, phone, screen reader. I will fix it and let you know when it is live. If the site will not cooperate, you can also call to book.
